About TradeHire
Our Mission
TradeHire exists because the trades hiring process is fundamentally broken. General job boards were not designed for industries where credentials are state-issued, legally required, and directly tied to the scope of work a person can perform.
We founded TradeHire on a simple belief: licensed tradespeople deserve a platform that treats their credentials as the serious professional qualifications they are. A Master Electrician who passed a grueling licensing exam and has maintained their license in good standing should not be competing on the same generic platform as someone who wrote "electrical experience" in a resume summary.
TradeHire is a verified, two-sided network — connecting licensed technicians with the employers who need them. Each side benefits from the other: technicians find real employment without surrendering their privacy, and employers access a pool of state-verified talent instead of unverified resumes.
Our platform validates every credential against official state licensing records, protects identity until users choose to engage, and gives every side the data they need to make informed decisions. That is what trust and transparency look like in trade hiring.
A state-issued trade license represents years of training, testing, and demonstrated competency. TradeHire was built on the belief that those credentials deserve a platform that recognizes and verifies them — not one that treats a licensed Master Electrician the same as an applicant with a bullet point on a resume.
Skilled tradespeople should be able to explore their options without broadcasting that fact to every recruiter, competitor, and current employer who might be watching. We built privacy into the foundation of TradeHire — not as a feature you have to opt into, but as the default.
Both sides of every hire deserve accurate information. Employers need to know that the license on a profile is real. Technicians need to know what their skills are worth in the current market. TradeHire surfaces both.
Maine has a distinct trades ecosystem — seasonal demand, rural geography, and a licensing system that does not always map neatly to national platforms. We launched in Maine because we understand it, and because local trades deserve a platform that was designed with them in mind.
Who Built This
TradeHire was founded by a team of technology and trades industry professionals based in Portland, Maine. Our team has spent years working with local businesses — including contractors, tradespeople, and service companies throughout Maine — and saw firsthand how poorly the existing hiring tools served this industry.
TradeHire is our answer to that problem. Built in Portland, designed for Maine trades, and engineered with the privacy and verification infrastructure that this industry has needed for a long time.

And growing
We do not get in the way. Once both sides connect, they are free to talk off the platform.
We do not take a cut. No commissions, no placement fees, and no percentage of anyone's wages.
We do not promote the highest bidder. Searchability and rankings are not for sale.
We do not make workers write resumes. Verified credentials say what matters.
We do not require an app. TradeHire runs in your browser.
We do not lock anyone in. Cancel anytime.
Whether you are a licensed tradesperson, an employer, or just curious about what we are building, we would love to hear from you.
