Create your free account at Sign Up → Technician. Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a 6-digit code.
Add at least one trade license (Settings → Licenses). We verify it against the Maine state database automatically.
Complete the profile wizard: trades, experience, availability, preferred region, and hourly expectations.
You can browse jobs, wage data, and the community for free. A $10/month membership is required to schedule interviews.
Create an employer account at Sign Up → Employer and add your company details.
The $100/month membership includes unlimited job listings — you only pay $25 per completed interview.
Post a job or search the marketplace of verified technicians filtered by license, level, and region.
Send a TradeUp to any technician who looks like a fit — it is free to send, and they choose whether to connect.
When you add a license, TradeHire checks the Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation database in real time — no document uploads needed.
We validate status, license type, and authority level (endorsements) for your trade category.
A verified badge requires a passed ID check AND at least one trade license on file.
If your license was recently renewed or issued, state records can lag. If verification fails, contact support and we will review manually.
Employers see your verified credentials, authority level, experience, availability, and region — never your name, phone, or email.
You appear as your TradeHire ID (e.g., TH-ME-0000012345) until you explicitly choose to connect with a specific employer.
Interview calls are masked: TradeHire dials both parties, so neither side sees the other’s real number.
You can pause your profile visibility any time from Settings without deleting your profile or verification data.
The Marketplace lists verified technicians filtered by trade, license level, endorsement, and county — browsable without an account.
Employers can also post jobs with license requirements; matched technicians see and apply to them from Browse Jobs.
TradeUp works in both directions: either side sends one for free to signal interest. The other side accepts or passes.
Once both sides accept, you can message directly and schedule a 15-minute interview.
All messaging happens inside TradeHire — the Messages page is the hub for every conversation.
Contact details stay hidden until both parties agree to connect.
Email notifications keep you posted on applications, TradeUps, and interviews; SMS alerts are strictly opt-in from Settings → Notifications.
The Community area hosts trade discussion groups where you post under a masked handle.
After a match, the employer proposes interview time slots and the technician picks one.
Both parties get calendar entries and configurable reminders (email, and SMS if opted in).
At the scheduled time, TradeHire calls both parties and bridges the call — numbers stay private.
Interviews are graded by AI sentiment; the employer’s $25 fee only applies to completed, legitimate interviews.
Technicians: free to browse and apply. $10/month membership (card on file) to schedule interviews, plus $25 per completed interview.
Employers: $100/month with unlimited job listings, plus $25 per completed interview.
Master mentor calls: $25 per completed call (journeyman/apprentice only).
Manage your card and membership from Settings → Membership. See the Pricing page for full details.
Update your profile, trades, and availability any time from your dashboard settings.
Control visibility: pause your profile from employer searches without losing your data.
Notification preferences (email, in-app, and opt-in SMS) live under Settings → Notifications.

When you create a technician profile, you provide your license number and trade category. TradeHire queries the Maine Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation database in real time and validates your license status, type, and authority level. This happens automatically — you do not need to submit documents.
No. By default, employers can only see your verified credentials, authority level, years of experience, availability, and preferred region. Your name, phone number, and email are never displayed until you explicitly choose to connect with a specific employer.
From your account settings, you can toggle your visibility off at any time. Your profile will no longer appear in employer searches until you re-enable it. This does not delete your profile or your verification data.
TradeHire currently supports Electrician, Limited Electrician, Plumber, Oil Burner Technician, Propane & Natural Gas, CDL drivers, and EPA Section 608/609 certifications. We are working on expanding to additional trade categories.
This can happen if your license was recently renewed, issued, or updated. State database records can lag by days or weeks. If verification fails, contact our support team and we will manually review your credentials while your license status is confirmed.
After creating an employer account, you can use the Search Techs page to filter verified technicians by license type, authority level, region, availability, and years of experience. Results show anonymized profiles with verified credentials.
From a technician's profile, you can send a connection request. The technician receives a notification and can choose to accept or decline. If they accept, our masked communication system enables you to call or message without either party exposing their real contact information.
After a technician accepts your connection, you can propose interview time slots from within the platform. The technician selects a time, and both parties receive a calendar invite. The platform sends automated reminders before the interview and tracks completion.
Yes. Employers can post trade-specific job listings with license requirements, authority level, location, and compensation range. Matched technicians can then view and respond to your listing.
We query state databases regularly, but license status can change between our data refreshes. For final hiring decisions, we recommend verifying license status directly with the Maine OPLR. Our verification is a strong, automated signal — not a real-time legal guarantee.
